booster seat for toddlers
A vehicular safety device used for children who are too large for a safety (baby) seat and too small to wear a shoulder seat belt.
Booster seats generally lift the child’s bottom by 10 to 15 cm, allowing the three point seat belt to cross the child at the shoulder and hips. Improperly fitted belts may ride across the stomach and neck causing internal injuries.
