A generic term for fish–e.g., mackerel, salmon, tuna, trout, which are rich in (healthy) omega-3 fatty acids, as well as vitamins A and D.
Accumulating data suggest that consumption of 2 or more portions of fatty fish/week reduces the risk of all-cause death by 27%, cardiovascular death by 35% and adds 2 or more years to one’s lifespan.
