Definition A proprietary fad diet marketed by Ultralife, Inc, based on the quack concept of “negative calorie” foods–i.e., foods that allegedly require more energy (calories) to digest than the food actually contains.
Such foods are said to include fruits and vegetables. Note: Whilst fat-rich foods provide more “positive calories”, negative calorie foods do not exist. The lack of evidence supporting this physiological impossibility hasn’t prevented charlatans from publishing and illustrating their fabrications.
