status orgasmicus

A state of sustained orgasm seen in some women–starting with a 2 to 4 second “spastic contraction”, which lasts up to 60 seconds.

Note: Masters & Johnson–1966 published a chart of one woman who experienced a 43-second orgasm, consisting of 25+ successive contractions, either from self-stimulation or at the hands of a suitably skilled lover. This useful term only got 60 hits on 24.03.2015, and thus is not in wide use.
