Fish—Albert killer/cannibal

FORENSIC PSYCHIATRY

Definition A depraved monster (1870-1936) who acquired a thirst for blood and began killing, cooking, and eating children; Fish has inspired lurid Hollywood tales of cannibalism–e.g., Hannibal Lector*

*Played with creepy brilliance by Anthony Hopkins. Words fail one as to how a human can be so depraved as to commit the unspeakable acts about which Fish was bizarrely proud. His trial in White Plains, New York lasted 10 days; the jury reached a verdict in an hour; he was electrocuted on 16 January, 1936

Synonyms The Boogeyman, the Brooklyn vampire, the Gray Man, Werewolf of Wysteria
