A Tinseltown (Hollywood) term for a phenomenon in which screenwriters, directors and producers feel compelled to “build” the human characters–i.e., give them dimension and make them believable, in a movie being seen mainly for its depiction of dinosaurs, robots, science fiction or other action/special effects
Obviously, neither are real syndromes and should not be regarded as such.
