blinking cursor syndrome

A term that specifically refers to writer’s block in a blogger, which occurs (w)hen you have something to write, want to write, and all you can do is look at the (blinking) cursor on the screen, hoping that the words will magically appear…that your blog will be profound, interesting, and engaging.*

*We have one Kari–a young doctor, to thank for this definition. She should know better than to pass on this as a valid entity. For the record, the term got 80 hits on 03.03.2015 and thus seems unlikely to become part of the working medical parlance.
