Struck off is the preterite of strike off, to remove a doctor from the UK’s General Medical Council–GMC register for unprofessional conduct, gross negligence, incompetence, sexual harassment, dishonesty (most famously, Andrew Wakefield), giving misleading evidence in court (Sir Roy Meadow, who was subsequently reinstated*), physical violence, homicide (Harold Shipman) and so on.
*His knighthood probably helped
