silver ambulance

A patient transport vehicle in the UK which is painted silver-grey (in contrast to the lemon yellow shroud of fast response units), and partly dressed in the fluorescent yellow and sea-green panda scheme typical of ambulances in the UK, on both the sides and front, with fluorescent yellow and hazard orange on the rear.

Silver vans and vehicles are used to transport non-urgent patients to hospital or various outpatient appointments. They are not deployed in all ambulance trusts in the UK.
