A form of chronic mercury poisoning of now historic interest, that affected infants given teething powder which contained elemental mercury.

Clinical findings Pruritis, red-pink discolouration of cold, clammy skin, especially on the acral parts and on the buttocks, irritability, weight loss, photophobia, conjunctivitis, fever, leukocytosis, albuminuria, hypotonicity

Synonym Acrodynia
