A self-explanatory term for the surgical take down of a stoma with restoration of function.

Complications Surgical site infection–SSI, seromas, fascial dehiscence, ICU admission, increased length of stay, delayed wound healing, reoperation

Risk factors for SSI History of dehiscence, thick subcutaneous adipose tissue (read, really fat), colostomy, white race.
