A term of art referring to blood flow within an abdominal aortic aneurysm–AAA sac, but not within the endoluminal space, which is common* complication of endovascular AAA repair. Endoleaks can lead to aneurysmal enlargement and rupture and are best identified by contrast-enhanced CT.
*Up to 15% of patients within the first month of endograft placement and up to 50% of patients over time
