Definition A striking patch of depigmented hair on the anterior scalp margin, which has no known clinical significance, and is typically seen in Waardenburg syndrome*. A white forelock may also be seen in tuberous sclerosis and Vogt-Koyanagi syndrome.
*Which is characterised by leukoderma, a flattened nasal bridge and cochlear deafness.
