OPHTHALMOLOGY

A descriptive term for the bright homogeneous red ocular fundus seen in various metabolic disorders—e.g., Sturge-Weber syndrome (image), cerebral lipidosis, Prader-Willi syndrome, Zellweger’s cerebrohepatorenal syndrome—which has been fancifully likened to tomato catsup. 

Synonym Tomato ketchup fundus
