monocle sign

Definition A rarely invoked finding on a plain chest film that corresponds to a partially calcified central pulmonary artery viewed en face/on end, when the arteries at the suprahilar or perihilar region have a larger diameter than the bronchus. Calcified arteries can mimic calcified lymph nodes seen in silicosis.
