A descriptive term referring to the tapering of the ends of metacarpal and metatarsal bones, phalanges, or clavicles, which has been fancifully likened to cylindrical hard candy that has been sucked for a requisite period of time. The appearance is classically associated with psoriatic arthropathy, but has been described in rheumatoid arthritis and leprosy.
