scintigraphy of patient with golf ball metastases

A popular term for a size of pulmonary metastases which is characteristic of sarcoma, clear cell carcinoma, seminoma and melanoma. Golfball metastatic nodules may be seen on a plain chest film or by radioisotope scintigraphy, and are between the cannonball-sized metastases of renal cell carcinoma, and the coin lesions of lung cancer and miliary/millet-seed sized metastases of thyroid, lung and breast cancers.
