Definition A modern stress-related condition caused by the lack, or perceived lack of money, resulting in mental–e.g., irritability, poor concentration, poor judgement and worse decisions, negativity and physical–e.g., palpitations, shortness of breath, headaches, tightness of chest, diarrhoea, indigestion, and poor sleep hygiene–symptoms.

Comment The term was coined in 2006 by Roger Henderson, a GP in the UK.
