dextrophobia

PSYCHOLOGY

Definition Morbid fear of things located on the right side, or right-handedness.

This rates among the top 10 silliest “phobias”, along with auroraphobia–morbid fear of the Northern lights. Just because one can juxtapose two classic roots (here, Latin, sinistro- left, and phobia) doesn’t mean one should. I doubt this term has ever been deployed in a clinical setting, and further doubt it rates as a proper phobia.
