neuropeptide B/W receptor

PHYSIOLOGY

Any of a number of integral membrane G-protein-coupled receptors that bind neuropeptides B and W. They are primarily expressed in the CNS–cerebellum and frontal cortex

• Neuropeptides B/W receptor 1 is encoded by NPBWR1

• Neuropeptides B/W receptor 2 is encoded by NPBWR2

Actions, neuropeptide B/W receptor Regulates cortisol secretion and neuroendocrine system. It is also involved in food intake and organisation of neuropeptide signals.
