mesothelial/monocytic incidental cardiac excrescences

CARDIOLOGY, PATHOLOGY

A hen’s tooth rare–35 reported to date–benign pseudoneoplatic lesion which is diagnosed incidentally after cardiac surgery.

The histology of MICE may simulate true neoplasia, but the gross appearance, clinical history and immunohistochemistry–AE1/AE3 negative and CD-68 positive confirms their benign, presumably reactive, nature.
