Definition Sexual intercourse in which intravaginal ejaculation of healthy sperm results in at least one sperm cell swimming upstream and  and successfully impregnating an egg.


Sexual intercourse in which the penis remains erect for long enough for one or both participants to be satisified with the activity and/or an orgasm has occurred.


Dialogue* in which the brain of one or more participants was satisfactorily stimulated.

*Intercourse is also defined as (non-sexual) communication and interaction between individuals and groups. In practice, few speakers of English use the word intercourse in a non-sexual context. This is particularly true for Americans
