Definition A complex disorder characterised by a constellation of symptoms that follow traumatic brain injury, which is thought to be more common in athletes
Clinical findings Altered consciousness, anxiety, dizziness, irritability, poor concentration and memory, fatigue, headaches, sleep disturbances, disturbed vision, equilibrium, increased sensitivity to noise and light and, for some authors, an initial Glasgow Coma Scale of ≥ 13 (of 15).
