EMERGENCY MEDICINE, FORENSICS 

A method of crippling a person, usually in the context of torture or punishment of a person by a criminal syndicate. It consists of cutting the lateral and medial hamstring tendons. The victim can’t stand properly, walk or run and must use the anterior thigh muscles to ambulate until the hamstring tendons are repaired.

Note: While this print is labelled hamstringing, the cut should be at the popliteal fossa to qualify as hamstringing
