hairy elbow syndrome


A rare, usually sporadiccondition (OMIM:139600) characterised by long vellus hair on the extensor surfaces of the distal third of the arms and proximal third of the forearms, variably accompanied by hypertrichosis elsewhere on the body.

*Autosomal dominant and recessive cases have been reported. About half of reported cases have short stature and a smattering of other anomalies.
