A rarely used term for the presence of black teeth. 

This term appears in the largest medical dictionary in the English language: The International Dictionary of Medicine and Biology (John Wiley & Sons, 1986) and thus seems to warrant a formal sayonara  Painting teeth black has a long history in Asia and was a prominent custom in Japan, where it was known as ohaguro and practiced until the Meiji period, serving to protect teeth and as a marker of aristocracy in men and maturity in women.
