CARDIOLOGY, INTERNAL MEDICINE

Definition A form of pseudohypertension in which the cuff used to measure the blood pressure is too small and both systolic and diastolic pressures are misinterpreted as hypertensive, a clinical error which is prevented by using appropriately sized blood pressure cuffs.
