diastolic heart failure

Heart failure with normal systolic function due to reduced or compromised relaxation of ventricular myocardium. Whereas the left ventricle contracts properly–i.e., the ejection fraction is adequate–60% or more, it doesn’t relax enough to allow the ventricle to fill for optimal systoles.
