CARDIOLOGY

Definition A technique for producing a graphic representation of repeated movement of the body evoked by the mechanical ejection of blood from the ventricles into the great vessels with each heart beat. The movements occur at 1-20 Hz and can be recorded noninvasively on the skin surface.
