Gray’s Anatomy


Definition The classical and most widely published textbook of anatomy which was first written by the Henry Gray (1827-1861) and illustrated by Henry Vandyke Carter (1831-1897), both English anatomists  in 1858. Originally published as Anatomy Descriptive and Surgical, it was renamed Gray’s Anatomy after his early death from smallpox at age 34.

The 41st edition was published in 2015
